Warranty Terms & Condition


All Pentland products are sold with 1, 2 or 3 years parts warranty as standard as stated in our catalogue. All electromechanical parts are covered against defects and will be replaced like for like or with a component which is compatible with the product.

Warranty Exceptions
Unless confirmed as being damaged within 24 hours from initial delivery, all cosmetic items and fabricated items are specifically not covered by the warranty.

  • Shelves / baskets, trays and pans are specifically not covered by warranty.
  • Glass covers or glass panels
  • Light bulbs, tubes, gaskets and trims are deemed consumable and not covered by warranty.
  • Other consumable items and breakables are not covered by warranty.
  • Stock loss due to unit failure, or claims for consequential losses are excluded from warranty.
  • Costs of the warranty engineer having to attend site specific inductions.


Important Notes
Warranty is invalidated if non approved technicians have carried out repairs to the warranty equipment.
Warranty is not transferrable.
Incorrect use and use of equipment other than for its designated purposes invalidates the warranty.
Lack of routine maintenance. Condensers should be cleaned every month, water systems on Icemakers should be cleaned every 6 months.
Pentland Wholesale reserves the right to request engineer’s diagnosis reports before supplying parts if applicable.
The serial number of the unit at fault must be supplied for warranty to be implemented.
We reserve the right to collect faulty parts for assessment if applicable.

Labour warranty exceptions
Calls to site where No fault is found; general misuse, abuse and site issues and cabinet location; general cleaning and maintenance; damage caused by movement within premises or relocation; blocked drains; defective power source or use of extension sockets; incorrect power source; following repair by an unauthorised party; general refurbishment.
Regular maintenance must be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s specification, the cleaning instructions must be adhered to.

Service Levels
Pentland Wholesale’s service department operates from Monday to Friday inclusive and the opening times are 8:30am – 5pm. We aim to cover any service call within two working days, often next day.

Other notes
Pentland Wholesale Ltd. accepts no liability for any losses howsoever caused as a result of the failure of equipment covered by this agreement.
This agreement is with the original purchaser only and is not transferable.
Pentland Wholesale Ltd will not be liable for consequential loss or damage associated with equipment failure.
Pentland Wholesale Ltd reserve the right to exchange the cabinet at our discretion for a new or graded unit.
Parts Warranty where applicable is provided for UK mainland, N. Ireland, Republic of Ireland and Offshore Islands. Any product exported outside of the UK is EX WORKS and excludes any warranty (except Republic of Ireland). Labour warranty where applicable can only be offered for UK mainland only.
This is in addition to and does not in any way effect the statutory rights of the purchaser.
